Japan consumer mood worsens in January

TOKYO, Feb 10 (Reuters) - Japanese consumer confidence
worsened in January, a Cabinet Office survey showed on Monday.
    The survey's sentiment index for general households, which 
includes views on incomes and jobs, was 40.5 in January, down
from 41.3 in December.
    A reading below 50 suggests consumer pessimism.
