LONDON, March 2 (Reuters) - Britain will suspend its participation in preparations for a G8 meeting in Sochi after Russia violated Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, British Foreign Minister William Hague said on Sunday.

"The United Kingdom will join other G8 countries this week in suspending our co-operation under the G8, which Russia chairs this year, including ... meetings this week for the preparation of the G8 summit," Hague told reporters before boarding a flight to Kiev.

"We call on both sides to ensure that there can be a reduction in tensions and the avoidance of conflict."

Great to know Hague can rush off to foreign parts, warn Russia, blah, blah, blah and boycott G8 preparations..all for a country and a population which has its own divided loyalties.

Strangely, other than sending useless bits of paper, he is happy to allow Spanish paramilitary and naval incursions into BRITISH waters, have Spain lay siege to 30,000 BRITISH citizens and practically close the border between Spain and GIBRALTAR. All this from a (so called) EU ally.

Let’s see a different priority! Just for once, let’s see this government actually look out for BRITISH people before looking after Johnny Foreigner!
