Marin Software and SMX West Announce Umut Dincer Is the Winner of the Sixth-Annual SMX Biggest Search Geek Contest

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 6, 2014) - Marin Software (NYSE: MRIN), provider of a leading Revenue Acquisition Management platform, and SMX West are pleased to announce the winners of the sixth annual SMX Biggest Search Geek contest. Umut Dincer, Senior Manager at The Home Depot, beat out more than 4,000 contestants to be named this year's Grand Prize and North American winner. On March 11, Umut will be recognized onstage at SMX West by Marin Software Co-Founder Wister Walcott and Search Engine Land Founding Editor Danny Sullivan.

In addition to the Grand Prize winner, regional winners from Australia and Europe were also named. Rich McPhariln, SEO Manager at FirstClick Consulting, took the title for Australia and Mihai Popescu, Regional SEM Manager from Trivago, won in Europe. This year's geographically expanded competition invited contestants from the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, and Australia to take the challenging 20-question quiz.

As Grand Prize winner, Umut will receive roundtrip tickets for two to SMX West and an Xbox One. Regional winners Rich and Mihai will receive their choice of an Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
