NEW YORK, March 27 (Reuters) - A U.S. magistrate judge recommended dismissal of a lawsuit against Bank of America Corp over $850 million in mortgage debt, according to a court filing.

Judge David Cayer in Charlotte, North Carolina, made the recommendation in a civil fraud lawsuit brought last August by the U.S. Justice Department. (Reporting by Karen Freifeld in New York. Editing by Andre Grenon)
