TORONTO Aug 20 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index fell on Wednesday, led lower by declines in the financial and energy sectors, as investors awaited minutes from a recent U.S. Federal Reserve policy meeting.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was down 22.50 points, or 0.15 percent, at 15,454.67 shortly after the open. (Reporting by John Tilak; Editing by Jeffrey Benkoe)
