NEW YORK, May 28 (Reuters) - The chief executive of accounting firm Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu [DLTE.UL] forecast on Wednesday that its global revenue would rise more than 16.9 percent in 2008, helped by strong growth for its advisory services.

Jim Quigley, who became chief executive of the group last year, said in a statement he expects fiscal 2008 revenue to exceed $27 billion, compared with $23.1 billion in fiscal 2007.

Quigley said Deloitte, which is one of the "Big Four" auditors, was seeing growth in all areas, but that growth was "particularly strong" for its advisory services. (Reporting by Emily Chasan; Editing by Andre Grenon)
