NEW YORK, July 14 (Reuters) - U.S. stock index futures pared gains on Tuesday after Goldman Sachs Group (GS.N) posted its second-quarter earnings.

Investors were also cautious ahead of the release of June retail sales.

S&P 500 futures SPc1 were 4.6 points higher and were above fair value, a formula that evaluates pricing by taking into account interest rates, dividends and time to expiration on the contract. Dow Jones industrial average futures DJc1 climbed 39 points, and Nasdaq 100 NDc1 futures added 2.50 points. (Reporting by Ellis Mnyandu; Editing by Padraic Cassidy)
