CIO of JPMorgan's China fund venture dies of illness

SHANGHAI, July 6 (Reuters) - Sun Yanqun, Chief Investment Officer at JPMorgan Asset Management's China fund venture, has died of an undisclosed illness.

Sun, who managed two equity funds at Shanghai-based China International Fund Management Co, died Sunday morning, at the age of 41, a statement posted on the company's website said on Monday. Sun went on sick leave in March, it said.

Sun, born in 1968, joined China International in June, 2005, after previously working at Invesco Ltd's (IVZ.N) China fund. (US$1=6.832 Yuan)
