Nikkei rises 2.3 pct, exporters up on softer yen

TOKYO, May 29 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average rose 2.3 percent on Thursday, led by high-tech exporters such as Kyocera Corp (6971.T) on a softer yen and after Wall Street was buoyed by signs of stronger business spending.

As of 0056 GMT, the benchmark Nikkei .N225 had risen 313.69 points to 14,023.13 and the broader Topix index climbed 1.8 percent to 1,372.67. (Reporting by Taiga Uranaka)
