Hyundai Motor shareholders approve CEO reelection
SEOUL, March 14 (Reuters) - Shareholders approved the re-election of Chung Mong-koo as Hyundai Motor Co (005380.KS: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) CEO at the annual meeting of South Korea's top auto maker on Friday.
Officials from South Korea's giant pension fund said on Wednesday the National Pension Service planned to vote against the re-election of Chung because he has a fraud conviction.
Chung, the head of the world's No.6 auto maker by sales volume, will stay in position until March 2011. (Reporting by Cheon Jong-woo; Editing by Keiron Henderson)
