Infosys sees Sept qtr net profit down 8.9-10.7 pct

MUMBAI, July 10 (Reuters) - Infosys Technologies Ltd (INFY.BO), India's No. 2 software exporter, said on Friday its dollar denominated revenues for the September quarter would drop 7.1 to 8.7 percent from a year earlier as short-term global economic environment continued to be challenging.

Its consolidated earnings per share are seen dropping 8.9 to 10.7 percent, the company said in a statement.

The outsourcer beat market expectations with a 17.2 percent rise in net profit for the June quarter at 15.27 billion rupees ($314 million). [ID:nBMA003308] (Reporting by Janaki Krishnan; Editing by Ranjit Gangadharan)
