UPDATE 1-Moog posts lower Q4 profit

Nov 5 (Reuters) - Aircraft parts maker Moog Inc (MOGa.N) (MOGb.N) reported a lower quarterly profit, mainly hurt by higher costs, and forecast 2010 revenue above analysts' expectations.
For the fourth quarter, the company reported earnings of $15.2 million, or 35 cents a share, compared with earnings of $31.7 million, or 73 cents a share in the year-ago period.
Earnings in the latest quarter were impacted by a higher cost sales mix and a $5 million charge for restructuring expense, the company said in a release.
Net sales rose 3 percent to $504 million, mainly driven by a 12 percent increase in space and defense control sales.
Analysts on average were expecting earnings of 36 cents a share, before items, on revenue of $476.3 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
For 2010, the company forecast earnings of $2.25 a share, plus or minus 10 cents a share, on revenue of $2.12 billion.
Analysts were expecting earnings of $2.32 a share, on revenue of $2.09 billion.
