Facebook's chief revenue officer quits
NEW YORK, Feb 19 (Reuters) - Facebook's chief revenue officer Owen Van Natta is leaving the social networking company after more than two years, the company said on Tuesday.
Van Natta, who was previously chief operating officer, played an instrumental role in securing Microsoft Corp's (MSFT.O: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) $240 million investment in Facebook last year, a Facebook spokeswoman said in an e-mailed statement. That investment valued Facebook at $15 billion.
Van Natta has been "instrumental in building out the core infrastructure of the company and has been key to building Facebook's Microsoft relationship," the spokeswoman said. "He also recruited some great executives in sales and business development and has been an influential part of the management team."
Van Natta was previously vice president of worldwide business development at Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz).
Facebook also named Matt Cohler, previously vice president of strategy and operations, to vice president of product management. Cohler will look after product development, the company said.
Van Natta was not available for comment.
