NEW YORK (Reuters) - NBC Universal said on Monday it expanded the jobs of three executives, splitting up the responsibilities previously held by Beth Comstock, who stepped down as the company's president of integrated media.

General Electric Co, the majority owner of NBC Universal, is bringing back Comstock as its chief marketing officer, it said earlier Monday.

With her departure, NBC Universal said Salil Mehta, president, business operations, strategy and development, will assume oversight of NBC Universal's Digital Media team.

Mike Pilot, president, sales and marketing, will add executive responsibility for the company's research department, and Jeff Gaspin, president of the Universal Television Group, will take on interim responsibility for iVillage, the Web site, and oversight of a newly created virtual women's network.
