Argentine farmers vow new strike starting tonight
BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) - Argentine farm leaders said late on Saturday they will stage their fourth strike since mid-March starting at midnight local time to press the government to negotiate a solution to the standoff.
Hundreds of farmers blocked rural roads on Saturday after military police in riot gear tried to forcibly clear a main highway, in the most violent episode since the conflict began over a government tax hike on soy exports.
