Clinton says meetings show "promising early signs"
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Wednesday that U.S. meetings with the leaders of Afghanistan and Pakistan were producing some "very promising early signs."
Clinton met with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Afghan President Hamid Karzai at the State Department on Wednesday morning for talks aimed at gaining their cooperation in tackling Taliban militants.
