CARACAS (Reuters) - A power outage that hit wide swathes of Venezuela caused some oil output problems in the OPEC nation's major crude producing state of Zulia, Energy Minister Rafael Ramirez said on Wednesday.

"In Zulia, yes there were some problems with production, but we are working on that," Ramirez told reporters.

A widespread blackout hit a dozen Venezuelan states and the capital Caracas for several hours on Tuesday. The government says the outage did not affect its refineries.
