British Airways hikes fuel surcharges
LONDON (Reuters) - British Airways (BAY.L: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said on Tuesday it was increasing fuel surcharges on all tickets issued from Friday, May 2, due to continuing high oil prices.
The airline said the surcharge on short-haul flights would increase by 3 pounds ($5.95) per flight to 13 pounds, or by six pounds to 26 pounds for a return.
The surcharge on long haul flights of less than nine hours will rise by 10 pounds a flight to 63 pounds.
On long-haul flights of more than nine hours, the charge will rise by 15 pounds to 79 pounds per flight.
