Police blow up "suspicious object" in Hong Kong
HONG KONG (Reuters) - A police bomb squad blew up what officials called a suspicious object at one of Hong Kong's busiest underground railway stations on Friday hours before the Olympic opening ceremony.
"There were no injuries and no damage to the station," said Amy Cheung, spokeswoman for the MTR underground railway company.
Hong Kong is the venue for the Olympic equestrian events.
