BELGRADE (Reuters) - Serbia has confirmed its first case of the new H1N1 flu virus, Health Minister Tomica Milosavljevic said on Wednesday.

"The patient is a 29-year-old male and 90 minutes ago we received confirmation from the National Reference Laboratory Torlak that the patient has been infected with A (H1N1)," Milosavljevic told a news conference.

The patient, treated for viral pneumonia, is in a stable condition, he said.
