MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexican construction company CICSA has no plans to move into the booming home building market but does want to expand in Latin America, billionaire owner Carlos Slim told Reuters on Friday.
Slim, with an estimated wealth of $30 billion making him the world's third richest tycoon, told Reuters in an interview that CICSA CICSAb1.MX was interested in energy and hydroelectric projects across the region.
Kicking off the Reuters Latin America Investment Summit, Slim said he had not joined an array of upstart home building companies in Mexico.
"We already have business in that market," Slim said. "We sell them tiles, aluminum, glass and telephones."
