NEW YORK, Nov 13 (Reuters) - Anadarko Petroleum Corp (APC.N) said Friday production at the huge Independence Hub natural gas platform in the Gulf of Mexico had ramped up to pre-shut in levels of about 700 million cubic feet per day following Tropical Storm Ida.

Anadarko operates the platform, the largest natural gas processing facility in the Gulf, or its owners, Enterprise Products Partners LP (EPD.N) (80 percent) and Helix Energy Solutions Group Inc (20 percent.)

It has the capacity to process up to 1 billion cubic feet per day of supply, but has been running at a reduced rate of about 700 mmcf per day or more during the third quarter of 2009 due to scheduled maintenance.

An Enterprise spokesman said earlier in the week production was at about 250 mmcf per day following Ida.

Ida made landfall near Mobile, Alabama, early Tuesday, as a tropical storm before being downgraded to a tropical depression. (Reporting by Janet Mcgurty and Eileen Moustakis; Editing by David Gregorio)
