New Issue-Bank of Nova Scotia sells $1.25 bln in 2 parts

 Jan 6 (Reuters) - The Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS.TO) (BNS.N) on Thursday sold $1.25 billion of notes in two parts, said IFR, a Thomson Reuters service.
 Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Barclays, Morgan Stanley and Scotia Capital were the joint bookrunning managers for the sale.
