Creditors add twist to midstream disputes in energy bankruptcies

The unsecured creditors of Tristream East Texas LLC have sued the bankrupt midstream operator to prevent it from shedding contracts with energy companies, an unusual twist on a recurring dispute in oil-and-gas bankruptcies this year.

Numerous energy producers this year have sought to use bankruptcy to reject costly midstream agreements for gathering and processing natural gas.
