Ingves gets extended mandate to serve as Basel Committee chairman

STOCKHOLM, June 23 (Reuters) - Swedish central bank governor Stefan Ingves has received an extended mandated to serve as chairman of the Basel Committee, the country’s central bank said in a statement on Monday.

His extended term, which will run until June 2017, was approved by a group of governors and heads of supervision, the statement said.

The Basel Committee draws up international regulations for banks.
