HeidelbergCement issues bonds worth 2.5 bln eur

FRANKFURT, Oct 14 (Reuters) - HeidelbergCement (HEIG.DE) issued three tranches of bonds with a total issuance volume of 2.5 billion euros ($3.73 billion), the company said Wednesday.

The bonds comprised of a 1 billion euros 5-year, a 1 billion euros 7-year, as well as a 500 million euros 10-year tranche.

The 5-year bond bears a fixed coupon of 7.5 percent, whereas the 7-year and 10-year tranches have coupons of 8 percent and 8.5 percent respectively, the company said in a statement.

The proceeds of the bond were used to reduce the company's bank debt, HeidelbergCement said.
