Before the Bell-Fannie, Freddie fall; spreads widen
NEW YORK, March 6 (Reuters) - Shares of home financing companies Fannie Mae (FNM.N) and Freddie Mac (FRE.N) fell before the opening bell on Thursday after mortgage-backed and corporate "agency" debt obligations issued by companies fell relative to U.S. government securities.
Shares of Fannie were down 5.4 percent at $22.99 in trading before the open while shares of Freddie Mac were down 4.6 percent at $20.65. (Reporting by Caroline Valetkevitch; Editing by Kenneth Barry)
