Fed's Fisher avoids policy in Japan remarks
DALLAS, April 19 (Reuters) - Dallas Federal Reserve President Richard Fisher on Thursday did not address the U.S. economic or monetary policy outlook in brief remarks to the Japan-America Society of Dallas.
Accepting an award from the society, Fisher mostly reminisced about his time living in Tokyo in 1990, and noted that Japan has been "a great and powerful economic machine."
Fisher is not a voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee in 2007.
