LONDON, July 13 (Reuters) - World leaders are recognising the importance of coordinating the rules governing banks as they deal with the fallout of the financial crisis, British finance minister Alistair Darling said on Monday. "You'll see that progress is being made but there's a recognition that because the banking system is global, the measures we need to deal with the various issues that have been raised also need to be dealt with in the global area," Darling said after a meeting with U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner. G20 finance ministers will next meet in London on September 4 and 5.
