Vivendi sells $1.4 bln notes in 2 parts - source

NEW YORK, April 1 (Reuters) - French telecom and media group Vivendi (VIV.PA) on Tuesday sold $1.4 billion of notes in two parts, said a source familiar with the deal.

The sale consisted of $700 million of five-year notes priced to yield 3.25 percentage points more than comparable U.S. Treasuries and $700 million of 10-year notes yielding 3.125 percentage points over Treasuries.

The issue was sold through joint lead managers Barclays Capital, Banc of America and Citigroup. (Reporting by Pam Niimi; Editing by Diane Craft)
