SANTIAGO, July 1 (Reuters) - The Inter-American Development Bank is pausing all new loans to Honduras until democracy is restored in the Central American country, the president of the multilateral lender said on Wednesday.

"We hope there is a way to return to democracy," Luis Alberto Moreno said in Chile about a military coup in Honduras on Sunday that has been widely condemned by the international community.
