US STOCKS-Global growth, U.S. job market fears slam Wall St

NEW YORK, Sept 4 (Reuters) - Wall Street had its worst day in more than two months on Thursday, as more signs of weakness in the U.S. labor market and increasingly sluggish growth overseas fueled a fierce sell-off.
The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI fell 345.30 points, or 2.99 percent, at 11,187.58 and the Standard & Poor's 500 Index .SPX sank 38.15 points, or 2.99 percent, at 1,236.83. The Nasdaq Composite Index .IXIC was down 74.69 points, or 3.20 percent, at 2,259.04. (Editing by Leslie Adler)
