Fannie Mae to announce notes after FOMC meeting

NEW YORK, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Fannie Mae (FNM.N) (FNM.P), the largest U.S. home funding source, will make its monthly benchmark note announcement after the Federal Open Market Committee meeting on Wednesday, said a market source familiar with the announcement.

Fannie Mae normally announces its intention to either state the specific offering maturity size and date or opt to skip issuance in the morning of the announcement date.

The FOMC statement is expected around 2:15 pm ET. (Reporting by Caryn Trokie, editing by Andrew Hay )
