US STOCKS-Dow ends down with oil near $127, Fed sees trouble

NEW YORK, May 13 (Reuters) - Blue-chip stocks declined on Tuesday as oil rose to another record, underscoring concerns about inflation, and the Federal Reserve chairman said financial markets are still troubled.
Based on the latest available data, the Dow Jones industrial average .DJI was down 44.13 points, or 0.34 percent, to end unofficially at 12,832.18. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index .SPX was down just 0.54 of a point, or 0.04 percent, to finish unofficially at 1,403.04. But the Nasdaq Composite Index .IXIC gained 6.63 points, or 0.27 percent, to close unofficially at 2,495.12. (Reporting by Jennifer Coogan; Editing by Jan Paschal)
