Thornburg CEO says no intention of Ch. 11-CNBC

NEW YORK, Aug 14 (Reuters) - Thornburg Mortgage Inc. TMA.N has no intention of filing for bankruptcy protection from creditors, its chief executive said in an interview with CNBC television on Tuesday.

Garrett Thornburg also said the mortgage lender and investor has had some success in obtaining funding and was getting into a position where it would be able to fund itself on a day-to-day basis. (Reporting by Christian Plumb, editing by Jeffrey Benkoe)
