US mortgage rates rose 1/8 point Friday - BestInfo

NEW YORK, Sept 19 (Reuters) - The average rate on a 30-year U.S. mortgage with no upfront points rose by 1/8 percentage point to 6 percent on Friday, according to BestInfo Inc.

The 30-year mortgage rate with one upfront point increased by 1/8 point to 5-3/4 percent.

The 30-year mortgage rate with two upfront points also climbed 1/8 point, to 5-1/2 percent.
