PHILADELPHIA, Nov 21 (Reuters) - The trend of rising U.S. foreclosures has yet to show signs of abating, a research economist at the Philadelphia Federal Reserve said on Friday.

"Until now, there's no sign of deceleration," said Wenli Li at a media workshop at the Philly Fed.

Li added that uncertainty surrounding housing laws was also delaying the mortgage renegotiation process, driving lenders to adopt a "wait-and-see" policy. (Reporting by Pedro Nicolaci da Costa; Editing by Theodore d'Afflisio)
