UPDATE 1-Mexico posts 50.7 bln peso March fiscal surplus
(Updates with details)
MEXICO CITY, April 30 (Reuters) - Mexico posted a fiscal surplus <MXPUFI=ECI> of 50.7 billion pesos ($4.83 billion) in March, up from a 12.4 billion peso surplus in February, the government said on Wednesday.
The accumulated surplus for the first three months of the year was 100.8 billion pesos.
Mexico's fiscal surplus in the January-to-March period was 5 percent lower than the 102.4 billion pesos in the year-ago period, mostly because of lower contributions from state-owned oil company Pemex, whose oil exports are declining.
The government is aiming for a balanced budget in 2008. ($1 = 10.4875 pesos)
