U.S. commercial paper issuance falls Thursday -Fed

NEW YORK, Oct 31 (Reuters) - The supply of U.S. commercial paper totaled $181.22 billion on Thursday, down from the $214.22 billion issued on Wednesday, according to Federal Reserve data.

Companies sold 1,050 issues of commercial paper worth $46.57 billion which matures in 81 days and beyond. This was below the 1,448 issues worth $62.55 billion on Wednesday.

Among banks and financial companies, investment-grade issuers with AA-ratings sold 259 issues of 81-day plus CP worth $12.61 billion. This was down from 652 issues worth $28.16 billion on Wednesday. (Reporting by Chris Reese; Editing by James Dalgleish)
