BEIJING, Dec 16 (Reuters) - Rising prices in certain sectors of the Chinese economy are the main factor stoking inflation but money supply is also adding to the upward pressure, Wu Xiaoling, a deputy central bank governor, said on Sunday.

Cutting money supply alone would not solve the problem and China needs to call on a mix of policy tools to calm the economy, Wu told a financial forum.

China's consumer price inflation hit an 11-year high in November at 6.9 percent. (Reporting by Langi Chiang)
