Obama wins Kansas Democratic presidential contest
DALLAS, Feb 5 (Reuters) - Sen. Barack Obama won the Kansas Democratic U.S. presidential contest on Tuesday, defeating rival Hillary Clinton to strengthen his bid to become the party's candidate in the November general election, U.S. media projected.
Kansas was the 5th state to go for Obama on Tuesday, dubbed "Super Tuesday" because nearly half of the U.S. states are holding contests to choose Republican or Democratic candidates for the November general election. New York Sen. Clinton has won six states so far on Super Tuesday, projections showed.
