Obama wins Maryland Democratic vote -- US media
WASHINGTON, Feb 12 (Reuters) - Sen. Barack Obama won the Maryland primary to choose a Democratic presidential candidate on Tuesday, the latest in a string of victories over rival Sen. Hillary Clinton in their closely fought race to represent the party in the November election, U.S. media projected.
With his victories in Washington, Virginia and Maryland on Tuesday, the Illinois senator has won eight straight contests against the former first lady, every one since the "Super Tuesday" voting on Feb. 5, when nearly half the U.S. states selected presidential candidates.
