IMFC chair sees voting rights changes in April
WASHINGTON, Oct 20 (Reuters) - International Monetary Fund steering committee chairman Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa said on Saturday it was "very likely" that the IMF would conclude its new voting rights formula in April to give a bigger voice to fast-growing emerging market economies.
At a news conference following a meeting of the International Monetary and Financial Committee, Padoa-Schioppa said he believed the European Union should consolidate its IMF chairs into one, but the issue was a "complex one" that the panel did not discuss.
