Clinton wins New Jersey Democrat presidential vote

NEW YORK, Feb 5 (Reuters) - Sen. Hillary Clinton won the New Jersey Democratic primary on Tuesday, boosting her bid for the party's U.S. presidential nomination by defeating rival Barack Obama in the big Northeastern state, media projected.

New Jersey was the 6th state to go for Clinton in voting on Super Tuesday, so called because nearly half of the U.S. states are holding contests to choose Republican or Democratic candidates for the November general election. Sen. Obama has won three states in Super Tuesday voting.
