Obama wins Alabama Democratic presidential vote
ATLANTA, Feb 5 (Reuters) - Sen. Barack Obama won the Alabama Democratic primary on Tuesday, boosting his bid for the party's U.S. presidential nomination by defeating rival Hillary Clinton in a conservative Southern state with a large black minority, CBS projected.
Alabama was the fifth state to go for Obama in voting on "Super Tuesday," so-called because nearly half of the U.S. states are holding contests to choose Republican or Democratic candidates for the November general election. Sen. Clinton has won six states so far in Super Tuesday voting, projections showed.
