Obama wins Connecticut Democratic presidential vote
BOSTON, Feb 5 (Reuters) - Sen. Barack Obama won the Connecticut Democratic primary on Tuesday, defeating rival Hillary Clinton in a state bordering the one she serves in Senate and strengthening his bid for the party's U.S. presidential nomination, U.S. media projected.
Connecticut was eighth state to go for Obama in voting on Tuesday, dubbed "Super Tuesday" because nearly half of the U.S. states are holding contests to choose Republican or Democratic candidates for the November general election. New York Sen. Clinton has won six states so far on Super Tuesday, projections showed.
