SEATTLE, Feb 5 (Reuters) - Sen. Barack Obama won the Idaho Democratic primary on Tuesday, defeating rival Hillary Clinton in his bid to become the party's candidate for U.S. president, media projected.

Idaho was the 11th state to go for Obama in voting on Tuesday, dubbed "Super Tuesday" because nearly half of the U.S. states are holding contests to choose Republican or Democratic candidates for the November general election. Clinton, a New York senator, has won 8 states so far, projections showed.
