Brazil economy to speed up, inflation to slow next year-Tombini

BRASILIA, Dec 11 (Reuters) - Brazil’s economy will gain steam in 2013 and inflation will converge to the center of a government target range, central bank president Alexandre Tombini said on Tuesday.

While domestic demand remains the engine of the Brazilian economy, a smaller increase in the minimum wage next year will help keep inflation in check, Tombini said at a congressional hearing in Brasilia.
