Brookfield Asset Management sells C$300 mln notes

NEW YORK, March 2 (Reuters) - Brookfield Asset Management Inc (BAMa.TO) sold C$300 million ($291 million) of notes due Sept. 8, 2016, according to a term sheet seen by Reuters on Tuesday.

The 5.20 percent notes were priced at par to yield 230.5 basis points more than the Canadian government benchmark.

The investment dealer arms of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and Royal Bank of Canada were the lead managers of the sale. (C$1.03=$1) (Reporting by Pam Niimi)
