Saks June same-store sales fall 5.6 pct

(Reuters) - Upscale retailer Saks Inc. (SKS.N) reported a 5.6 percent fall in June sales at its stores open at least a year and said owned sales fell 3.9 percent to $237.6 million for the month.

The company also said it continued to expect low-double digit same-store sales growth for the second quarter.

Analysts, on average, had expected the company's June same-store sales to fall 4.8 percent, according to a poll conducted by Reuters.
